SERVICES > Client-Centered Presentations

It’s professional sales and presentation skills coaching that really works. I have been to training from Dale Carnegie and many others. Engage beats them all.

Jonathan Ricketts, Sales Manager, Natixis Global Associates

Client-Centered Presentations coaches nonprofit and business professionals on how to create greater impact and move people to action. Whether you are presenting to one person or a group, face-to-face, by phone or by web conferencing, you will become more effective at communicating how your organization will benefit the audience.

Throughout the program you are developing your executive presence. Part of the program is dedicated to creating or refining a more strategic message about what your organization does. Then you practice delivering it in small groups and to the class. You develop your ability to tell compelling stories and sell your ideas. The program is suitable for business and nonprofit professionals, experienced or new, whether you are in a formal sales or development role or you are a professional service provider.

Objectives include:

-Speak and act with power to gain credibility with clients and potential clients.
-Bring a higher level of thinking to your presentations and conversations.
-Stop thinking about what you want. Start thinking about what your client wants.
-Create and deliver a more persuasive message about your organization.
-Use PowerPoint to support your message, not deliver it.
-Handle a Q&A session or difficult questions with poise.
-Move your audience to action with powerful stories, facts and examples.

One-day open-enrollment classes are offered for nonprofit professionals. For companies the program is customized and delivered on-site, generally in three half-day sessions but always on a schedule that fits your needs. The program includes:

Classroom Learning. Three half-day sessions (recommended but flexible) customized and delivered on-site on your schedule for up to 10 employees.

Nonprofit Sponsorship1. Sponsorship of up to 10 nonprofit leaders. Please see below for more information and options.

Individual Coaching. Ongoing 1-to-1 coaching sessions for all participating employees and nonprofit leaders. Our clients get used to seeing us at their offices, helping their employees whenever they need it. We care about your success.

Online Reinforcement. Online learning for all participating employees and nonprofit leaders so they are constantly reminded of the small things that produce big results.

Community Partnership Connections. This is where the professional development you provide nonprofit leaders and the connections we help facilitate create a long-term ripple effect. There is no telling how many times your sponsorship will eventually help people and change lives! Engage initiates and facilitates conversations between any of your employees who are interested in sharing their knowledge or expertise and nonprofit leaders with similar needs. For example, you may have employees who want to donate their time to help a nonprofit with marketing or social media. Or, you have identified emerging leaders you want (and they want also) to join a nonprofit board or committee. We help make those connections using various channels.

1Your company can sponsor nonprofit leaders in two ways.

You can host a class on presentation skills or consultative selling at your offices for up to ten nonprofit leaders. Here are some of the benefits.

  • You can choose to invite Executive Directors from several different nonprofits, or invite several key employees from the same nonprofit? You decide.
  • Hosting the event gives you an authentic way to demonstrate great corporate citizenship. Your current and potential employees and clients will see the action going on in your conference room and create a positive buzz.
  • Hosting the event is an opportunity for employees and senior management to meet nonprofit eaders to thank them and, when appropriate, discuss ways they can work together more closely.
  • Hosting the event is an opportunity for the company CEO, President, Managing Partner or other executive to speak about your organizations commitment to the community. This would be an ideal photo opportunity for an industry publication, your newsletter, the nonprofits’ newsletters and Boston-area media.

Or, the nonprofit leaders you sponsor can attend an open-enrollment class hosted by Engage.

You select up to 10 nonprofit leaders. Each sponsored nonprofit leader can choose which date and which class to attend. This option might be preferable if your conference space is always in use or if there are other logistical challenges
